Warmly, Jill

By Judith Clarke:

It was my great good fortune to know Jill Rubinson during my time at UMA, both as a librarian and a member of the Terry Plunkett Poetry Festival committee.

She was always full of ideas and enthusiasm — endlessly welcoming and helpful.

When I mentioned that I had a concern about the how my dog, Chester, would fare being away from home should I have to be away, Jill volunteered to be his first away-from-home experiment!

Happily, Chester was the perfect house guest and got top marks in everything!

I hope they are renewing their acquaintance wherever wonderful spirits go.

Warmly (to borrow Jill’s lovely sign-off),
